There are 6 lifts running from May through to October whisking you up the mountains, a little nearer to your summit targets, and the Hochkönig Card means you can use them as many times as you like, and for free, opening up a wealth of mountain attractions, extensive woodland walks, and wonderful trips on the Lifts.
Toni's Almspielplatz
The Karbachalmbahn lift takes you very conveniently from Mühlbach up to Toni’s Almspielplatz. This Alpine playground has water and sand playgrounds, climbing towers, slack lines, and barbecue areas. You can get coffee or a snack from the Karbachalm itself whilst watching the children playing. There are plenty of things to do, with a little round walk, treehouses, and fun toys. The Alpine playground is also easily accessible for pushchairs.
Summer tobogganing
The Hochkönig-Card gives you one free trip up the Huggenberg chairlift and one run down the Biberg summer toboggan run. This can be very well combined with a short walk. After the chairlift ride and a one-hour walk, you arrive at the start of the adventure theme park “Nature & Stone”, near the Berlesreiter mountain restaurant. If you want to take things a more leisurely, then the Huggenberg mountain restaurant is right next to the top station of the chairlift, where there is also a petting zoo with sheep, rabbits, cats and other animals. The run down the summer toboggan run always makes a great finish to an action-packed day.
